Kingston Avid Anglers is all about enjoying our passion of fishing for bass. We stand by our club motto: "Just Wanna Fish". If you are looking for friendly casual competition, Avid is where you want to be!
Avid Anglers hosts 8 Angler of the Year (AOY) tournaments — and you only have to fish in 4 to qualify for the AOY title.
Our tournaments are held on some of the best bass waters in Canada, including:
- Lake Ontario
- St. Lawrence River
- Bay of Quinte
- Big Rideau
- Charleston
- Dog Lake
- Loughborough
- And more!!!
To make it as easy as possible for members to participate in our tournaments, we use a solo format, which means you fish alone in the boat without a partner or co-angler. Club AOY tournament entry fees are only $40 with 100% payback, 2 bonus big fish prizes and no tournament prepayment
Kingston Avid Angler AOY tournaments are only open to Club Members!
Although the format is better suited for applicants with some tournament experience, interested anglers who are new to competitive fishing are certainly welcome. The only restriction is that you must own a boat at least 14 ft. in length with a working livewell and attachable kill-switch.
Member registration period
Member registation begins after the final event of the season and ends on June 1st of the following year. We do not accept registration during the active season.
